Usui Reiki for People and Pets

Reiki is a vibrational energetic healing technique utilizing Divine lifeforce energy, in use extensively throughout hospitals and clinics worldwide. Thousands of documented cases attest to Reiki's affect on increased healing times, lessening the after-effects of surgery and anesthesia, relieving stress, and in promoting feelings of peace and well-being.

We are alive because Divine lifeforce energy flows through our bodies on pathways called meridians, chakras, and nadis. Divine lifeforce energy nourishes our vital organs and cells, providing the necessary energy for their functions keeping them in perfect health.

When this life force energy is disrupted or blocked, over time it causes diminished function within the body and dis-ease ensues. This can be likened to a river that has become dammed up and stagnant. Whatever the river feeds and keeps alive, eventually dies because it no longer has access to the vital energy, which in this example, is water.

Vibrational energy healing works by sending Divine lifeforce energy to and through the energy fields, opening blocks and revitalizing the flow of the body's energy.  This produces a return to healing wholeness in body, mind, and spirit.

Kate is trained and attuned to the level of Reiki Master Teacher in USUI REIKI, the oldest form of Reiki.  The Japanese word "Reiki" translates to "God Energy", which is then channeled through Kate from Creator to promote healing for the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual bodies.

Reiki is a non-invasive procedure and receiving a session does not require disrobing, as in massage therapy sessions. The energy is transmitted in either a sitting or reclining position.

During a session Kate places her hands on or just above the body (as you prefer). She starts at your head (Crown Chakra) and then moves down your body, moving from head to toe and back to head, sending Reiki energy to all areas of your body. If there is a specific area that you want addressed, this area will be given extra attention. A typical session lasts 50 minutes. Most clients become so relaxed during their sessions, they have to be woken up!

• Wound healing

• All other physical maladies

Because Kate is a Reiki Master, she is able to offer Reiki sessions in person or via distance sessions to anywhere in the world.

In very serious cases more than one session may be needed, as the body can only handle so much and it will need to incorporate the Reiki energy it has received before it can take in more.

Reiki for Pets

Reiki is also very effective for our animal companions.  Kate uses it quite often with her own animal companions whenever there is any type of injury or disturbance.  She recently offered Reiki to her tuxedo cat, Tommy, (who you can see on the Animal Companion Readings page).  He had acquired a large abscess at the base of his tail which was so painful, it could not be touched without him crying out in pain. He received approximately 45 minutes of Reiki, and the following day while checking the injury site Kate was very happy to discover that the abscess had opened and drained!  No more pain for Tommy and no huge vet bills for Kate!

During a "pet" session Kate will spend a few minutes allowing the animal to "get to know her."  She will then verbally or mentally offer the Reiki energy to them.  Depending on their need for the session, she may place her hands directly on the animal, or sit a few feet from them, to send the Reiki energy. (If the animal has never received Reiki before, it usually takes them a few minutes to get used to receiving the energy.)  Their preferences direct the flow of the energy and when they have received as much of the energy as they can handle in one session, the flow of energy will stop.  In very serious cases more than one session may be needed, as the body can only handle so much and it will need to incorporate the Reiki energy it has received before it can take in more.
